The Kids Want Socialism
We're leaving Capitalism behind like an abused child that stays away once they've grown up.
The reason why many of the younger generation is embracing socialism/communism is for one reason: CAPITALISM. It's like having an abusive parent: Eventually you grow up, then what happens? Many children will move out and operate their lives MUCH DIFFERENTLY than their parents. They stop the vicious cycle that their parents continued and choose more healthier actions and rhetoric to help themselves and their kids to lead a better life. Many adult children will even cease speaking to their parents to keep the pattern of abuse away from themselves and their children. It's the same with Capitalism.
We're abused constantly and this leads us to want leave it behind and create a better system that is healthier for our society & includes ALL citizens AND keeps the planet and its inhabitants in mind so we and our future generations can thrive for time in memoriam. This includes healthcare where over 45k people die each year because they’re uninsured in this nation. Universal housing is another aspiration which is deeply appealing to us because many of us both Millenials and Gen Z are unable to afford to buy a home and many of us can barely afford rent. Most people can’t afford a two-bedroom in this nation even with a full-time job on minimum wage. Not to mention the fact that corporations like Blackstone are buying up thousands of private homes in the US and forcing us to be a nation of renters. Education for all is a massive incentive because many of us are dealing with having to pay back exhaustive student loan debt that renders us financially impotent and makes us unable to plan for a better future. Spreading full democracy to the workplace is gaining popularity with the onset of unions growing within the nation and more talk of worker cooperatives excites us with the prospect of owning the means of production from a worker level. Ending the influence of Western/US hegemony and dominance across the international community on behalf of corporations is gaining steam as we see West African nations like Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger reject colonialism and Western influence as well as the downright theft of their natural resources by means of a puppet politician. We’re watching these developments closely and are in favor of nations like the ones in West Africa expressing their full sovereignty and self determination to set their own path.
The emergence of socialism/communism isn't a matter of IF, it's a matter of WHEN. It's up to YOU if you want to be a part of the solution or fade away with the problem. Society evolves and continues to progress year after year. There will be a sudden leap forward in our lifetime. The choice is yours, will you ride with us or will you leave a forgetful and regrettable legacy? Choose wisely!
