Literally decades of dissent & peaceful protest, against this deadly-ass system of healthcare denial, have gotten us exactly nowhere. Certain people remain clueless enough to keep insisting we need to "change the system from within" while over this past half century, the overwhelming evidence has shown time & again, that tactic is guaranteed to fail. A failure manifested in the theft of the commons, and continued destruction of innocent lives, either one’s own or those of friends, family, colleagues… All sacrificial lambs for profits, corporate greed and the almighty dollar! And thanks to Luigi Mangione, the silence on this issue has been broken once more. Whether the oligarchs like it or not, it forces them to see that this issue isn't going away, that it will continue to fester like a boil and raise its ugly head at every opportunity, as more and more of us get fed up with these corporate death panels deciding who lives and who dies.

There are so many examples of the hypocrisy of our ruling elites, but also many ordinary Americans as well (though mostly not on this particular issue). Not only do we celebrate “Thanksgiving” while ignoring the genocide of Native Americans, but we ignore that 50 million turkeys are killed every year for “Thanksgiving”—and not just killed, but treated brutally throughout their short and miserable lives, even if they’re “free range.” You wouldn’t believe what farmers are allowed to get away with while still getting the “certified humane” label. My friend Wayne Hsiung, cofounder of the animal rights group Direct Action Everywhere, knows a lot about this from the investigations he's been involved in. As he posted about today (https://x.com/waynehhsiung/status/1867274097358725243), he was sued for "stealing" baby turkeys from a Whole Foods supplier, when he was actually rescuing them because they were on the verge of death from the brutal conditions in which they were raised (and hence of no market value to the company, since they were still babies).
